Good Faith Estimate
Your right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to know what your care is expected to cost before you receive it.
What the law provides
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost, if you are uninsured or are not planning to submit a claim to your insurer.
- You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule, and at any time during care.
- You will receive one in writing at least one business day before a scheduled service.
- Make sure to save a copy.
Current fees
Individual psychotherapy is $235 per telehealth session. Ketamine-assisted therapy is $846 per 180-minute in-person session with me; medication and any medical care are arranged and billed separately by an independent licensed medical provider. The initial consultation is free. Twenty-four hours’ notice is required to cancel, or the full fee applies.
If you are billed more than expected
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
